Patriotic Celebration of India’s 79th Independence Day
The morning of 15th August filled our school with the spirit of patriotism as we came together to celebrate the nation’s 79th Independence Day. It reminds us the struggle and sacrifices that secured our freedom. With this sprit our school celebrated the occasion with great fervour.
As Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, ‘Love for one’s country is a part of faith.’ Inspired by this, our students presented a series of performances to express respect for the nation.
The celebration commenced with the dignified hoisting of the National Flag by our esteemed dignitaries — Mr. Iqbal Aadil (Assistant Commissioner of Education), Mrs. Monica Mandloi (Range Officer, Forest Department), Ms. Preeti Tekam (Forest Ranger), and Ms. Yamini Patil (Forest Ranger) — an act signifying India’s progress and aspirations. The anthem that followed filled the assembly with pride. the Principal addressed the gathering, reminding us of the sacrifices behind our freedom. Soon after, the programme unfolded with a disciplined drill display, a courageous pyramid formation, A heartfelt recitation of a poem and a verse by His Holiness Dr. Syedna Aali Qadr Mufaddal Saifuddin (TUS) added a spiritual touch. The sequence concluded with a captivating band performance that brought the celebration to life.
Guided by the farsighted vision of our Maula, the highlight of the celebration was a tree plantation drive. This noble act conveyed a greater lesson — that true service lies in benefitting all of Allah’s creation, from people to the natural world. Trees, in turn, provide shade, nourishment, and life itself, reminding us of our duty to live in harmony with the environment.
Students of Class 11, who excelled in last year’s Class 10 board examinations, were felicitated on stage — a proud moment for the school.
India is a secular country with countless languages and religions. Yet on Independence Day, every citizen is united not by religion, but by the identity of being a ‘Hindustani. Our country, rich in knowledge and culture, shines especially bright on this day of unity and pride. It lays the foundation for a brighter future for India.
